Missions
We at Living Grace Commnunity Church affirm the truth that the call of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is one that is given to all disciples of Jesus Christ. The mission of taking the good news of Jesus to all nations is not one that is meant for a select few; it is the mission for all who call upon His name for salvation. We desire to be a church in which every family and/or individual lives on mission as people who proclaim the gospel both here in our local community and around the world. Our prayer is that the Lord would use our body to advance His kingdom and to bring glory to His name throughout the world.
Missions may be defined as reaching out to people, foreign and domestic, with the good news and love of Jesus Christ. This is precisely what Jesus spoke about in Matthew 28:19-20, Luke 24:45-49, and in Acts 1:8. At Living Grace we will follow our Lord in this, both His heart and command.

Foreign Missions
Farrar Family - Thailand
Al and Chris Farrar were sent out from Living Grace in December 2010 with their four children; Ally, Maddy, Isabella, and Gabriella. They currently live in a small town just outside of Mae Sot, Thailand where they are partnered with Life Impact International to rescue children who have been, or are in danger of being, trafficked and provide them with a gospel-saturated environment to live in. Foreign Strategic Partnerships
ICM (International Christian Ministries) Burundi - ICM exists in order to serve the church by discipling and equipping it's leaders. ICM envisions a future where a mature African Church leads the global Church in fulfilling the Great Commission through the practical application of the Great Commandment.
Radius International - Radius International seeks to carry the gospel to every point around the globe through training pioneer cross-cultural church planters. Radius prepares missionaries for the realities of pioneer church planting among the least evangelized peoples of the world.
Domestic Missions
FLOOD Bakersfield - We are involved with the FLOOD on a monthly basis as we provide dinner and a worship service every fourth Saturday of the month for the homeless in our community. If you would like more information or would like to be involved please contact Jim Wren at jwren@wrenkelly.com.
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) - We are currently involved in the FCA club at Independence High School. We attend and lead the meetings twice a month on campus during their lunch period. If you are interested in being involved please contact Billy Freels at billyf@livinggracebakersfield.com.
Independence High School - Several times throughout the year we have the opportunity to serve Independence High School in various ways. One of the ways we do this is through our bi-annual campus clean-up days where the entire congregation is invited to pull weeds, plant flowers, pickup trash, scrape gum, powerwash, and whatever else would be helpful to the school.
Southwest Neighborhoods - Living Grace was planted in the southwest portion of Bakersfield in order that we might live out the gospel of Jesus Christ in the surrounding neighborhoods and community. Throughout the year we will engage the community around us through various projects, prayer walks, and other outreach opportunities.
